Abstract: Process Improvement using "cutting edge" or "bleeding edge" software development methodologies? Do they work? How and when should I use them? Where did these development methodologies come from? How to apply Project Management to the projects using cutting Edge Development? Lessons Learned, pros and cons, which methodology is "right" for your project? The application of a cyclic or evolutionary approach to development; a engineering process that enhances team productivity using software best practices using guidelines, and templates; or is the answer "Agile" a conceptual framework for development that promotes development iterations throughout the life-cycle of the project. Last, Extreme Programming (XP) is actually a deliberate and disciplined approach to software development.
